WEDNESDAY HALF-DAY PROGRAM: AGES 6-10 & 11-15
The Wednesday Half-Day Program includes instruction in a wide variety of circus arts, including aerials, object manipulation, tumbling, and balancing skills. Each day will include skill building time in 2-3 different circus disciplines, as well as supervised choice time where students can work on the skills of their choosing. The afternoon will also include time for snack and less structured downtime.
The Half-Day Program meets on Wednesdays from 2:15-5:15pm. We know that school schedules differ and that students might be arriving at slightly different times. The program is structured to allow for rolling arrival from 2:15-2:45pm.

As with all youth programs at Esh, the Half-Day Program is non-competitive, and aims to help each participant explore their own potential in circus arts.
TEEN CIRCUS: AGES 13 - 17
As with our adult classes, Teen Aerials classes focus on form and technique in a fun, engaging setting. Rather than simply teach trick after trick, aerials classes at Esh aim to teach students the fundamental “hows” of moving in the air, with the goal of creating versatile and adaptable aerialists. Students will have the opportunity to explore multiple aerial apparatuses, including fabric, single point and static trapeze, lyra, rope, sling, and Spanish web.
Beginner Level
No background in circus or gymnastics is required! We work with each student’s individual skill level and interests in small classes to create a fun and focused learning environment.
Intermediate/Advanced Level
For students who have a solid foundation in aerial acrobatics, the intermediate/advanced level class continues to build on students’ skills, grow their movement vocabulary, and refine technique and movement quality in the air. Prior approval is required to join the intermediate/advanced class – contact us at info@eshcircusarts.com prior to registration.
General Circus classes focus on form and technique in a fun, engaging setting, with the goal of creating versatile and adaptable acrobats. Students will have the opportunity to explore many circus arts, including aerial acrobatics, partner balancing, juggling, tumbling, hula hooping, clowning, handbalancing, and more!
General Circus classes are open level – all experience levels are welcome, and no background in circus or gymnastics is required. We work with each student’s individual skill level and interests in small classes to create a fun and focused learning environment. Ages 9+.

Does your child like to climb just a little too high, or spin just a little too fast? Or would you like to encourage your timid tot to test his physical limits? Join us and watch your young child jump, balance, hang, and roll to their hearts content. In Circus Explorers, children will learn many of the basic skills and concepts that underlie higher level circus work. This is also a great chance to practice listening skills and following directions in a fun, safe and supported environment. Parent or caregiver participation is required. Class is 50 minutes long.
Not sure if this is the right class for your child? We recommend that children in the Explorers class are able to hang from a bar for a few seconds independently; can lift their feet up toward bar while hanging from hands; can wait to take a turn; and can follow a simple, short series of directions. Please contact us at info@eshcircusarts.com with any questions!

Not sure if this is the right class for your child? We recommend that children in the Seekers class should be willing to try some basic tumbling skills on their own (log rolls and somersaults); should be self-directed enough to follow teacher directions and engage in activities without direct parent supervision; and show budding independence. Please contact us at info@eshcircusarts.com with any questions!
Once they are on their feet and moving around, climbing, hanging, and rolling follow close behind! Come enjoy the early years of physical play and acrobatic discovery with your young one. Children will enjoy activities that engage and challenge their natural tendency to test the limits in a safe and supported environment.
Classes are intended for children from 18 months to 2.5 years. Parent or caregiver participation is required. Class is 50 minutes long.
