Eliana Perlmutter

Eliana is a circus coach and performer who specializes in partner acrobatics, Cyr wheel, tumbling, and youth circus. She finds magic in circus moments when someone realizes they can do things they didn’t know were possible. As a performer, Eliana finds it particularly satisfying to take audiences on emotional, often playful and joyous, journeys. Though she has been informally sharing partner acrobatics with those around her since long before, she has been coaching circus professionally since 2021. She directed the Jr. Silver Lining Circus Camp in New Hampshire and served as one of the initial coaches for Silver Circus, which began in Vermont and engages older adults in circus arts.

After graduating from Smith College and working as a government relations professional in Washington, DC for five years, Eliana jetted off to Portland, Oregon in 2021 to pursue circus full-time. While on the West Coast, she co-founded a contemporary circus company, Constructive Interference, and co-produced their first full-length show, Transatlantacism: A Circus Tribute. Eliana is a graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) ProTrack program and The Circus Project’s Elements training company. Outside the studio, she puts her government relations skills to use as chair of the American Circus Alliance’s Advocacy Committee. When not coaching or performing, Eliana can often be found searching for a new cafe or trail to explore.
